Attaining a sustainable future on health
Sustainable development goals (SDG) also known as Global goals are a collection of 17 goals set by the United Nations with the aim to be attained by the year 2030. Sustainable development goal 3; “Good health and well-being “is aimed at ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. Maternal and child health is an integral part of this goal. SDG-3 aims to reduce under-five mortality to as low as 25per 1000 live births and to accelerate progress in order to reach SDG targets for immunization. It also aims to reduce maternal mortality to less than 70 deaths per 100,000 live-births and achieve universal coverage of skilled birth attendants. Furthermore, Goal 3 aims to ensure availability of family planning and access to sexual and reproductive health services for women and girls.

In accordance with article 19 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, Safer Hands Health Initiative believes that all children wherever they may live, have the right to be protected, nurtured and to be free from all forms of violence, abuse , neglect, maltreatment and exploitation. As part of Safer Hands Health Initiative`s commitment to the protection of children from all forms of harm and abuse. Safer Hands Health Initiative has a responsibility to ensure that our organization have a child protection measures in place.
